Zoo’s map of Australia shows how ‘Vicxit’ would work

Aussies had a chance to ponder this question when a somewhat butchered map of Down Under at a US zoo was posted online.
A Reddit user posted the map, which showed Victoria missing and Tasmania pushed up to take its place.

Even more bizarrely, the map went to the effort of showing tiny islands off the coast of the Northern Territory and in the one-time Bass Strait.
Perhaps Victoria was deemed unnecessary, given the purpose of the map was to show the Great Barrier Reef.

But the zoo even got that wrong, showing the reef lying hard up against the Cape York coast.
Comments on the Reddit thread blamed the missing Victoria on everything from “Vicxit”, to the Aussie winters, to the Great Emu War – which actually took place in Western Australia, and which the Australian military apparently lost.
Perhaps it’s best the Yanks don’t know about that one.
