Two Australian lawyers initially denied entry to Papua New Guinea have been allowed into the country to continue working on a major fraud case involving prominent politicians.

Greg Egan and Terence Lambert were in September barred from entering the country, with the PNG government saying the pair had been operating on business visas rather than employment visas.

The ABC reports that a court has ruled the lawyers can return to PNG and continue representing fraud investigators in a case against PNG Prime Minister Peter O'Neill and other politicians.
