Aussie vegetables off PNG tables

Papua New Guineans won't be eating Australian vegetables for a while after the Pacific nation banned a range of produce imports.

Australian onions, carrots, potatoes, tomatoes, capsicum, lettuce and celery are among those banned in the move designed to support PNG producers.

Vegetable growers are worried by the unexpected and sudden announcement and are working with PNG government and Australian agriculture department to see if the problem can be resolved.
