Thai police search for woman after naked Aussie's deadly fall

An Australian tourist died in Bangkok late last month after falling from his seventh floor hotel room, with police now searching for the woman he was last seen with.

Joshua Edward Beath, 25, checked into the hotel on Suirawong Road with a Thai woman, who had disappeared by the time police arrived.

Mr Beath's naked body was discovered by hotel staff on July 29, having checked in to the establishment on Thursday, July 28, according to the ABC.

It appears Mr Beath, who hailed from Melbourne, fell from the balcony and suffered extensive head wounds. Police say there was no sign of a struggle in his room and that the door to the balcony had been left open.

"A piece of our family puzzle has been tragically taken and cannot be replaced," an obituary placed by his family in the Herald Sun last Tuesday reads.

"Words cannot describe how Josh touched all our hearts and everyone he met."
