Australian travellers are being advised that Dubai International Airport is closed after an Emirates plane crash-landed.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has issued a statement urging travellers to check with their airline for details on delays and when normal flight schedules will resume.

The Dubai government's official media office said on Twitter that all passengers were "evacuated safely and no injuries have been reported so far."
