Knife-wielding predator attempts to abduct 11-year-old girl in Sydney

A man has pulled a knife on an 11-year-old girl in an attempted abduction in Sydney’s inner-west today, the fourth child abduction attempt in the city in less than a week.

The girl was approached in Summer Hill about 8.40am by the man, who pulled out a knife from his coat and coaxed her to come over to him.

When she turned to run away the man reached out and tried to grab her, but missed.

The girl escaped and later reported the incident at her school.

The man has been described as Asian in appearance, between 30 – 40 years old, 165cm tall, with short black hair, brown skin, a red mark on the right side of his face and brown eyes.

He was wearing a long black coat that hung past his knees, black pants and a red and blue coloured chequered shirt.
