ASIS gets $300 million

The Australian Secret Intelligence Service will be given almost $300 million over the next six years as part of a massive national security spend.
The federal government has announced it will spend $35 billion in 2015-16 on defence, national security and law enforcement as part of measures aimed at combating terrorism and extremism.
As part of the national security commitment, ASIS will receive $295.8 million over six years, including for upgrading its ICT systems.

The money includes capital funding of $172.5 million and operational funding of $123 million.
