Petrol bomb attack in Adelaide potentially a case of mistaken identity
A young family have had their home and brush fence set on fire deliberately in Netley, South Australia overnight but police say the attacker was not targeting the property's current occupants.
Netley's newest residents, having just moved to the Beare Avenue home from Sydney the previous week, were woken around 1am to a loud bang and a bright light.
"I woke up and there was a really big red coloured light. I didn't know that it was a fire," said the victim, who has asked 9news to remain unnamed.

"I came out with my daughter, she's only two and a half years old, and I was calling triple zero to help me."
"I was shouting help help help," said the victim.
Police say molotov cocktails were hurled at the property in a "deliberate attack", but not necessarily aimed at the young family inside.
"The house was targeted. as opposed to the people," said Senior Constable Matt Brown.

When emergency services arrived at the scene the fence fire had been brought mostly under control by quick thinking neighbours with garden hoses.
No one was injured and the house was spared significant damage.
The new occupants, however, say they are unsure if they can forget the traumatic incident.
"I don't feel safe anymore in this house, I'm just looking for another house to move into," the victim said.
The families CCTV camera captured the confronting scenes.
Southern District CIB are investigating the incident and ask anyone with information to call crimestoppers.
