Another truck smashes into notorious Melbourne bridge

A truck has this morning struck the notorious Montague St Bridge in South Melbourne – the 102^nd incident of its kind.

A spokesperson for VicRoads said the impact was only “minor”.

“The impact was very minor and it has already been cleared.”

Parts of the truck’s roof were ripped off in the crash.

A sign displayed on the light rail overbridge warns motorists that access is restricted to vehicles under three metres in height.

Social media users posted photos and videos of this morning’s crash, mocking the number of accidents occurring at the site.

Bus passengers became trapped when their Gold Bus struck the bridge in February.
