'We know where you live ... rot in hell,' mob tells trio accused of starving huskies

An angry mob has lambasted three people accused of animal cruelty with vulgar insults and thinly-veiled death threats outside a Queensland court.

About 40 furious Gladstone residents outside the city's magistrates court yesterday confronted the Hollie Cornwell, Sean Heineger-Finley and Shane Heineger, who were released on bail for charges of starving two huskies.

"Shame on you. Show your face you scumbag," people yell in a video posted online by the Gladstone Observer.

"You're scum. You piece of s---.

"We know where you live and I hope you rot in hell. We know who you are."

Water was reportedly thrown on one of the accused men and another shoved a protester as he left the scene.

Animal advocate Jude Whicker told the newspaper the demonstration was to show zero tolerance of animal cruelty.

"Animals don't have a voice and so we are the voice of the animals," she said.

The trio – who are yet to enter a plea to their charges – are due to return to court in October.
