Andy Lee gatecrashes Today after Logies win
A "dishevelled" Andy Lee gatecrashed the set of Today this morning after a night out celebrating his Logies win.
The radio and television comedian was scheduled to appear on the Logies segment after 7.30am, but only seemed to be returning to his hotel room when he wandered through the Crown Hotel lobby at 5.30am as Today was going to air.
Lee, still wearing his award ceremony suit and clutching his silver Logie, appeared unfazed by his previous night's antics, proving why his and fellow funnyman Hamish Blake's Hamish and Andy’s Gap Year Asia took out the Most Popular Light Entertainment title.
"Well, @karlstefanovic and I shouldn't be on tele (sic) at the moment but it happened," Lee tweeted moments later, along with a photo of host Karl Stefanovic and himself.
Returning to the program later, Lee – this time accompanied by Blake – switched his formal garb for a bath robe.
"In future when Andy turns up dishevelled in the morning can you not put 'Hamish and Andy' underneath," Blake joked.
"Just trying to keep my reputation."
