Amy Schumer leaves $1000 tip for lucky US bartenders

Amy Schumer has left a $1000 tip for bar staff after seeing the Broadway production of Hamilton.
The 34-year-old used to wait tables and work at a bar before she broke into comedy.
Schumer chose to leave the tip with staff at the theatre bar after buying a $77 round of drinks for her boyfriend and friends.
Bar worker Madeline DeJohn posted a picture of the receipt on her Instagram account, “And then @amyschumer comes into your work and does something amazing.”
The actress had previously tipped staff generously at the Richard Rogers Theatre.
Ms DeJohn, an aspiring actor, said that she had given an $80 tip for a $40 bill.
The tip given last night was split between the six staff who are all aspiring actors.
