Sydney man charged over alleged relief grant fraud
A 42-year-old NSW man has been charged with more than 90 offences after allegedly applying for, and receiving, government financial support using dishonest information.
The man allegedly submitted fraudulent applications for numerous schemes including COVID-19 business grants, JobSaver, Test and Isolate, Mouse Control support and Rental support - totalling payment of $246,450.
Police say the man submitted additional fraudulent applications – totalling $590,550 – for schemes that were never paid.

The Greenacre man was handed a court attendance notice for 91 counts of dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception and knowingly deal with proceeds of crime.
He was refused bail and will appear at Burwood Local Court on July 6.
NSW Police will continue investigating suspicious government support scheme applications.
