Alleged Sydney murderers remain in custody
Two men charged with the murder of a western Sydney fruit shop worker will stay behind bars after being refused bail in a Sydney court.
Lance Murdoch, 27, was last October charged with murder and robbery while armed with a dangerous weapon over the fatal shooting of Kamran Yousaf.
The 28-year-old was found lying in the back of the Villawood Value Fruit Market with bullet wounds to his head and abdomen.
Linh Dang, 27, is also facing charges over the murder after being arrested at the scene.
During a brief mention at Parramatta Local Court on Thursday, Dang's lawyer did not apply for bail, which was formally refused.
The same order was made for Murdoch.
The men are both due before the same court for a mentions via audio visual link on June 5.
According to court papers sighted earlier, Murdoch is also alleged to have robbed the shop of an unknown amount of money.
The papers say police at Fairfield initially refused him bail, citing him as a "repeat offender".
