Alleged stiletto slasher fronts court

A Sydney woman who allegedly attacked a police officer with a stiletto heel has appeared in court.

Talitiga Tapuai Alesana is accused of striking a sergeant with her shoe during a midnight brawl at Darling Harbour last month.

The officer, Fevzi Emrali, suffered a deep laceration that required hospitalisation.

The 26-year-old woman appeared in Sydney's Downing Centre Local Court on Monday charged with assaulting a police officer executing his duty and causing actual bodily harm.

The Yagoona woman is due back in court at the end of the month and court papers indicate she is expected to enter a plea.
