An all-ability cheerleading team’s innovative performance at an Australian All Star Cheerleading Federation (AASCF) event has won them both praise and a title.

The performance by Oxygen All Stars Lithium at the NSW All Star Battle Cheer Edition competition in Sydney Olympic Park was posted to Facebook yesterday, where it has since been viewed hundreds of thousands of times.

In it, wheelchair user Deb and three other cheerleaders – Cooper, Sarah and Mikky – can be seen performing a number of high-energy manoeuvres.

“Once again our Special Ability champions continue to inspire and awe us with awesome displays from Oxygen All Stars Lithium featuring the fantastic Deb,” the Facebook caption reads.

Facebook users have praised the team for their “beautiful work” and electric performance, which earned them first place in the level one all ability category.

The team is believed to hail from the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales.
