Aged care attack: 102-year-old man charged after assault on female fellow resident

A 102-year-old man has been charged after allegedly assaulting a fellow nursing home resident.

Police were called to an aged care facility on Carrington Road in Sydney’s east yesterday, where they will allege the man indecently assaulted a 94-year-old woman at around 12:30 pm.

Following an investigation, the centenarian was arrested and taken to Waverly Police Station.

There he was charged with aggravated indecent assault and granted conditional bail.

The 102-year-old is due to appear at Waverley Local Court on November 20.
