Top ten revealed: Affordable Sydney houses and units in diamond suburbs

Exclusive: A new snapshot of Sydney's property market reveals what it now costs to get in at entry level near the city.

We asked Cotality to find the suburbs within 10 kilometres of Sydney CBD with the lowest entry-level prices - that is the 25th percentile of values in the suburb, reports Effie Zahos.

For houses, the most affordable were in Zetland, where the entry-level price is around $1.4 million. Units come in a little cheaper, with Ultimo coming in top at $556,000.
