Adorable red panda celebrates sweet 16th with special fruit cake

A red panda has celebrated her sweet 16th complete with a cake containing all her favourite fruits and bamboo shoots.
Chori arrived at Symbio Wildlife Park in Sydney six years ago as part of a breeding program and became a star attraction at the zoo.
Chori’s keeper Ash said the creature can be a bit of a diva in the mornings.
“(She’s) always spending a good five to ten minutes grooming herself before coming down from the tree, even for a cake as delicious looking as this!” she said.
The average lifespan of a red panda is eight years but Chori remains active in the mornings and late afternoons, spending her time during the day relaxing on branches.
Similar to the giant panda, the red panda is endangered due to poaching, illegal trade and loss of habitat and introduced species.
