Emergency helicopter rescues Adelaide woman after 10m fall while walking dog
An emergency helicopter has rescued a 61-year-old woman who fell 10 metres while walking her dog along a trail in Waterfall Gully in Adelaide this morning.
The woman slipped and slid 10 metres down a steep embankment about 8.30am.
Her mobile phone fell out of reach, leaving her stranded.

A bystander heard her calling out for help and alerted emergency services, who came to the rescue.
About 30 emergency service workers were involved in the rescue.
The ground was too slippery for them to walk the woman out so a helicopter was called in.
The operation initially ran into some trouble because of concern the branches of an overhanging tree would break and fall near the woman.
The rescue took about two and a half hours.
People who frequently walk the trail said they weren't surprised by the accident, saying it was known to be dangerous.

"The paths up here are very narrow ... quite steep and a bit uneven," one walker said.
"One wrong foot and you can easily slip up," another walker said.
Emergency services are urging people who go for walks on single trails to be aware of their surroundings and always try to let others know where they'll be in case something happens.
The woman was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital to be treated for a wrist injury and dehydration.
