Man charged with attempted murder after Adelaide shooting

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a shooting in Adelaide's west overnight.

Just before 7.30pm, emergency services were called to a premises on Brandwood Street in Royal Park after reports a man had been shot.

A 47-year-old man from Royal Park was taken to Royal Adelaide Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The 44-year-old victim was shot in th chest Nine

The incident is not believed to be random, police said.

Just before midnight, officers arrested a man without incident at a Croydon Park home.

A 44-year-old man was charged with attempt murder, failing to answer questions under the Firearms Act, and carrying an offensive weapon.

He has been refused bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court today.

Investigations are continuing.
