Adelaide restaurateur targeted in series of attacks

A prominent Adelaide restaurateur has been targeted in a series of callous attacks.

9News cameras were there as a 37-year-old suspect was arrested just metres from the alleged crime scene in North Adelaide.

Moments earlier, it's alleged he assaulted prominent restaurateur Walter Ventura.

Police trawled Ventura's Lefevre Terrace home where he lives with his wife and children for evidence, collecting a broomstick.

They say the suspect had been there earlier this morning, smashing the windows around 4am.

Just last week, one of Ventura's restaurants was also targeted, with the windows and doors smashed.

A 37-year-old man will face court tomorrow charged with serious criminal trespass, property damage, assault and threatening life. Nine

Police are still investigating whether the two incidents are linked.

Security cameras capture someone pacing away from the scene at the same time that night.

A 66-year-old man was also assaulted this morning at a real estate office on O'Connell Street.

The 37-year-old man will face court tomorrow charged with serious criminal trespass, property damage, assault and threatening life.
