Storm lashes Canberra on Aust Day eve

Dozens of homes in and around Canberra have been damaged by heavy rain and hail that lashed the ACT on Australia Day eve.
The ACT State Emergency Service had received 387 calls for help by 10pm on Monday after a severe thunderstorm rolled over the nation's capital.
Tuggeranong was hardest hit, with a majority of calls coming from Isabella Plains, Calwell and Gordon.

Most were for hail damage to roofs, leaking ceilings and general flooding.
