Son charged with mum's murder in Sydney

A young man has been charged with the stabbing murder of his mother on Sydney's northern beaches.
The body of 50-year-old Lanell Latta was found at a house on Marine Parade, Avalon on Monday morning.
Her 25-year-old son was arrested in nearby Ruskin Rowe and taken to Manly Police Station for questioning.

He has been refused bail to appear at Manly Local Court on Tuesday.
