ACT records 24 new local COVID-19 cases
The Australian Capital Territory has recorded 24 new local cases of COVID-19 in the last day, as vaccination coverage across the region continues to soar.
A total of 85.9 per cent of eligible residents have are now fully vaccinated, while 99 per cent have received a single dose.
There are now 400 active cases in the territory, bringing the total number of cases attributed to the current outbreak to 1,577.

There are 19 people being treated in hospital with COVID-19, including 12 in intensive care. Four are being kept alive by ventilators.
All shops have now reopened in the ACT and more restrictions including quarantine-free travel to NSW will be permitted at the end of the month.
Authorities have asked residents across Canberra to continue coming forward for vaccinations and testing, while also monitoring ACT Health's exposure site list.
