A man accused of killing his wife while their four children were in the same Melbourne house has been committed to stand trial.

Suzi Oghia, 31, was found stabbed to death last November at her Noble Park unit, while their four children were home.

Her husband, Bona Lual, 37, will stand trial on her murder in the Victorian Supreme Court.

A committal hearing in the Melbourne Magistrates Court heard Lual allegedly stabbed Ms Oghia after following her home from a party.

He allegedly called triple-zero, telling operators there had been a fight and that he had stabbed his wife, according to a prosecution summary tendered to the court.

Lual, of Doveton, will face a directions hearing on June 27.
