Abbott offers condolences to storm victims

Prime Minister Tony has offered his condolences to the families of victims who lost their lives in the NSW storms.

"Obliviously we mourn their families and we feel for the families whose homes have been damaged by this once in a decade storm," he told reporters in Turkey where he is attending the Anzac Day commemorations.

He has been in regular contact with NSW Premier Mike Baird and Minister for Justice Michael Keenan and said he was pleased that the national disaster relief and recovery arrangements have been invoked.
