The next election must be fought on power prices and Malcolm Turnbull must listen to his backbench, former prime minister Tony Abbott says.
In an opinion piece written for The Daily Telegraph, Mr Abbott laid out his plan to tackle power prices, including abandoning the Paris climate targets he signed up to.
"If the prime minister had paid as much attention to his backbench as he does to the Senate crossbench, the government would not be in this current fix," he wrote in the newspaper on Friday.
