Why Americans are voting for Literally Anybody Else

With the race to the 47th President of the United States on a knife's edge, there's no telling who Americans will choose to lead their country for the next four years.

But one Texan school teacher has gone to great lengths to show his discontent for both Kamala Harris and Donald Trump - and he says he's not alone.

Dustin Ebey legally changed his name to Literally Anybody Else to mark the launch of his bid to become the next President of the United States.

Else claims disillusionment among Americans is growing ahead of the election, and he wanted to do something about it.

"The most common people I run into are people who say 'I'm just not going to vote anymore, because what's the point?'"

"I'm not moving, I love my country, and so the only solution is to try and make a difference!"

Else's name does not physically appear on the ballot, but voters can support him as a 'write-in' vote.

"People have been calling me and messaging me saying "I just left early voting, and I wrote your name in"," Else said.

So what is it that's got people considering Literally Anybody Else? 

"We're stuck between someone who's overtly declaring he'll be a fascist, or someone who can't form a sentence unless they're in front of a teleprompter," Else said.

"[Harris] doesn't have the mental capacity to maintain a leadership position for longer than two weeks.

"[Trump] is someone who prioritises loyalty above all else, even when it is at the detriment of the people."

"If you want to make an inept sandwich, put those two together," Else said.

"They're the bread and America becomes the unfortunate meat."
