Tools salesman turns the table on scammers in amateur sting operation
A humble tool salesman has turned amateur sleuth in a bid to catch a scammer who conned him out of $30,000 worth of product.
Anthony Mirabile runs his family business Beyond Tools in Perth and claims he's been screwed over in an international scam.
His sales team fell victim to an email order for $30,000 worth of tools from someone pretending to work for a potential big new client.

When Beyond Tools wasn't paid, the penny dropped.
"That's when my heart dropped because I literally realised we'd been scammed," Mirabile told A Current Affair.
When the tool salesman received another order from the same outfit requesting a further $20,000 worth of stock, Mirabile turned undercover detective.
