Squatters fight to remain in buyback homes in flood-ravaged community after court blow

After a break-up, Lismore resident Chels Hood Withey said she had nowhere to go.
She is one of many illegal occupants living in a buyback home now owned by the NSW government.
Her whole street is full of squatters in the flood-ravaged community.

The government has taken them to court and won, but they're not going down without a fight.
"There is a real crisis of housing insecurity on top of a disaster-affected community," Chels said.
