Silence doesn't work: The conversation we all need to have

This is the conversation every family has to have, this is the story every family has to watch.

For too long Aussie families haven't talked about it. It's been regarded as too hard a conversation to have with your kids.

The devastating consequence of our silence, is a country that has had it's heart and soul ripped out and we can't keep quiet any longer.

We need to talk about it.

One young woman tells A Current Affair about the pressures her peers face.

"There's so much pressure on all of us to be perfect," Annalise said.

While a mother grapples with the loss of her son.

"I miss his voice, I miss everything," mother Kim said.
