Ingenious or unsafe? Queensland man's unbelievable hedge hack splits TikTok users
A Queensland man has gone viral on TikTok for his unique approach to keeping the hedges in his front yard pristine.
Wayne Richardson's hedge hack involves him attaching a lawn mower to a crane, which he hoists to trim the bushes outside his Bundaberg yard.
Daughter Jade Richardson filmed her dad's trick for social media to see, after admitting she thought he had gone "completely batty".

"I just thought the daughter was playing a joke on me and didn't think anything of it," Wayne said.
"And she said I was going to put it on TikTok or something and yeah, righto, I don't even know what TikTok is.
"He was in shock and he kind of didn't believe it at first, then I pulled up analytics and said look at this," Jade said.

The reason Wayne didn't opt for a hedge trimmer for the job?
"A hedge trimmer would've worked, but as you can see the hedge is about my eye level and I'm lifting above that," he said.
"I'm 70 and have a bad back and shoulders."
