Not in our backyard!

But when the government comes knocking and wants a slice of it under “compulsory acquisition”, it can turn your world upside down.
Statement from VicRoads
All landowners impacted by land acquisition have been informed of their rights under the Land Acquisition and Compensation Act 1986.
VicRoads has made offers of compensation to the landowners affected by the acquisitions for Stage 1 of the Yan Yean Road Upgrade Project based on independent expert valuation advice obtained through Valuer-General Victoria and is presently working through the compensation assessment process with each affected landowner in accordance with the Act.
VicRoads is unable to comment on individual acquisitions.
