The chopper had been out on a croc egg collecting mission in February 2022 when it crashed in remote west Arnhem Land, killing Wilson.
The Aviation Transport Safety Bureau found the chopper likely ran out of fuel and pilot Seb Robinson released Wilson in his egg-collecting sling from an unsurvivable height.
Wright is facing nine charges relating to allegations after the accident, including attempting to pervert the course of justice by destroying and fabricating evidence, unlawful entry and interfering with witnesses.
He is fighting the charges.
Wright, alongside co-accused high-ranking cop Neil Mellon and pilot Michael Burbidge, will face Darwin Local Court tomorrow.
