He is the forgotten digger, enlisted to undertake a secret operation.

And 50 years on, he is still suffering PTSD from his experience.

Fellow vets Adrian and Ray managed to get John some medals

But he's missed out on crucial entitlements that other enlisted personnel get, like a pension and healthcare.
