First Australian repatriation flight out of Israel lands back home

The first of Australia's two repatriation flights out of Israel has landed back home, after Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Richard Marles said there won't be any more organised by the federal government.

Qatar Airlines flight QR7424 landed at Sydney Airport this evening with 222 Australians on board.

The second flight out of the conflict zone is expected to arrive tomorrow.

Marles said the two organised to date would "meet the immediate demand".
