Residents in Queensland suburb claim putrid odour coming from tip is making them sick
Tracey Butler claims she's a prisoner in her own home.
She spends her days behind locked doors and windows to protect herself - not from a crime wave - but a wave of putrid odours coming from the local tip in Ipswich.
"Imagine what a dirty nappy is like full of faeces - it smells like that," she told A Current Affair.
"Mixed in with compost and it actually burnt my throat yesterday and when I vomited my lips were stinging."

Many Ipswich residents claim the noxious fumes from the nearby waste facilities are making them sick. 9News
Residents are convinced they're getting sick from the stench in the air.
"It's definitely impacting it and making it worse. It's prolonging me getting better and it's just been horrible," a resident said.
Queensland's environment minister Leanne Linard told A Current Affair her department is "investing significant resources in responding to odour issues being experienced by residents".
Linnard also said that earlier this year "the department charged a waste company operating in the Swanbank area with several offences, including wilfully and unlawfully causing an environmental nuisance relating to odour".
