Generous tradies help family of 11 rebuild after blaze ripped through Sydney home

When a fire tore through the Wilson family home in Greater Western Sydney, parents Warren and Amelia and their nine children had to run to safety.

Warren assumed his insurance would cover the damage, until he received the heartbreaking news the policy had recently expired.

More than 18 months on from the fire, the family of 11 are still squeezed into a humble three-bedroom rental home.

Warren works as a forklift driver 12 hour days, six days a week to provide for his family and pay off the $5000 per month bill for their mortgage and rent.

But the current cost of living is crippling them. 

"A big family of 11 is not easy, like i said, I'm paying rent, I'm paying a mortgage, I'm paying a water bill here, water bill there, paying a power bill here, paying a power bill there," Warren said.

But with the assistance of Pat Sergi and an army of helpers, the Wilson family has started the long journey to rebuild their home.

And they need your help to make their dreams come true.
