Exclusive behind the scenes look at upcoming Wog Boy 3 film

The Wog Boys are back.
Comedy star Nick Giannopoulos has exclusively revealed to A Current Affair that he's begun shooting a third film in The Wog Boy franchise.
"The loyal fans out there, they're amazing, they're absolutely amazing, and that's essentially why we're doing another one," Giannopoulos told A Current Affair.

The Wog Boy 3 has reunited Giannopoulos with his life-long friend and co-star Vince Colosimo.
"It's just nice to come back and work with Nick, who's like a brother," Colosimo said from the set of The Wog Boy 3 in inner-city Melbourne.
"We go back a long time now, 30 years now nearly, if not more."

Giannopoulos began writing the script during lockdown in Melbourne.
"Lockdown was very harsh. So I thought, you know what, that idea that's been swirling around my head for another Wog Boy film, it's time to do it. I just sat there at home, locked up, all the way through writing the script," Giannopoulos said.
Production began last month, with popular actress Sarah Roberts also co-starring as Cleo.

"I don't want to give away too much, but it is a romantic-comedy and I do have lots of scenes with Nick. It's lots of fun working with Nick," a relaxed Roberts said.
Originally a Melbourne local, Roberts moved to Sydney as her career as an actress took off, but production on The Wog Boy 3 has allowed to move back in with her mum.
"I just love working on a project where I'm smiling and laughing everyday," Roberts said.
The film will also carry a tribute at the beginning to Giannopoulos' late father, Leonidis.

"This film is very much about family," he said.
"He got ill while I was writing the script, obviously the significance of that played into my writing. I know he's watching from above because we've had a great shoot so far."
Production has been very careful to follow pandemic protocols.
COVID-safety officers make sure that masks are worn and that surfaces are sanitised. But the tough times have not been lost on the cast.

They're hoping that when the movie opens it will be a good relief from all the challenges of the last few months.
"It's a feel good film, it's a comedy. I think when it's released it's going to be exactly what people be waiting for, after all this stuff, you know?" Nick said with a smile.
The Wog Boy 3 will open in 2022.
Keep an eye out for a cameo from A Current Affair's Seb Costello, too.
