'Remarkable': Donations pour in as generous viewers answer campaign call out
A Current Affair viewers have opened their hearts and their wallets in response to yesterday's special episode highlighting causes in need.
The program called on viewers to join our 300 campaign donate the government's $300 energy rebate to charity if they could spare it.
OzHarvest founder Ronni Kahn said the charity had received more than $30,000 worth of donations in the last 24 hours.

And until June 30, generous donors are helping OzHarvest match all donations made, meaning the charity is already able to deliver an additional 120,000 meals.
"In the afternoon, after the budget results, we were not feeling very loved," Kahn said.
"But then you guys came onto the scene and the public has been remarkable.
"There were people who gave $2, that means eight meals.
"They enabled eight meals to be delivered by us ... any single amount makes a difference."
