Disney hit Australian shores in a different way for the very first time recently as the Disney cruise liner docked at Sydney Harbour ahead of its maiden voyage around Australia and New Zealand.

And who better to experience the magic at sea than one of the country's biggest Disney fans, Rebecca Mason.

"I love Disney ... I've loved it since I was a little girl," she said.

"Nothing's a problem at Disney and the rides are magical, it's like you're living in a book."

With countless pairs of Mickey Mouse ears and a home filled with Disney memorabilia, the 49-year-old lives and breathes Disney.

Her obsession even inspired her career: she's the owner operator of a travel agency that specialises in holidays to Disneyland.

Now, Mason has enlisted the help of her diehard Disney family to join her on Australia's first three-day cruise aboard the Disney Wonder.

"I think it's crazy but I love it, I love it, it brings happiness to the whole family," daughter Brooke said.

Let's hope this Aussie sailing goes well, because Mason's booked the family in for two more Disney cruises.
