A rogue chef who abandoned a wedding just days before the ceremony has left a trail of furious clients and mounting debts in his wake.

A Current Affair has spoken with dozens of people who claim to be owed money by Justin Summersgill.

Maryelle and Aidan allege they're owed more than $10,000 after Summersgill cancelled the catering for their wedding.

"You should be excited. You should be getting excited that you're marrying your best friend. But instead we're wondering, are we having food at this wedding," Maryelle told A Current Affair.

Summersgill claims to be a chef turned business mogul. In reality, he ran a failed catering service called Amaze App, as well as a number of other businesses.
