A Channel Nine security guard has been attacked by a neo-Nazi in the lead up to A Current Affair's story featuring the extremist group he is a member of.

Thomas Sewell, who is one of the leaders of the National Socialist Network and who is featured in A Current Affair tonight, arrived at Channel Nine in Melbourne earlier today.

He arrived with one of his peers at Channel Nine and demanded to see A Current Affair staff.

The pair were then escorted from the building by a Nine security guard.

The security guard was then attacked and punched multiple times by Mr Sewell.

The pair then ran away from the station.

Victoria Police has been handed CCTV vision of the attack and the Channel Nine security guard was taken to hospital by ambulance.
