Retailers are hoping big sales will get customers through the door in the lead-up to Christmas.

Myer Melbourne general manager Loucinda McCorry told A Current Affair they were offering 25 per cent off Kitchen Aide, and 60 percent off kitchenware.

Nutribullets, meanwhile, have 50 per cent off - a savings of $140.

People can pick up bedding at lower prices. A Current Affair

Shoppers can get 40 per cent off Sheridan bedding or 50 per cent if they are Myer One members.

And for Friday only, if customers spend $200 in beauty, they get 10 per cent off.

David Jones is offering big savings on Dyson vacuum cleaners, with the V8 hand stick on sale for $479 - a total of $320 off.

Meanwhile Kmart is dropping 100 exclusive products online and in-store on Friday, which will be available until Cyber Monday.

"This is the first time Kmart's done something like this," Robert Day from Kmart said.

Mr Day's top picks from the sale included a $179 hanging egg chair, a $99 portable gas barbecue, and a Kmart-branded 1000 thread-count sheet set for $29.

For customers choosing bricks-and-mortar shopping over online tomorrow, Monash University's Dr Rebecca Dare has some advice to make it as painless as possible.

"Do your research online in terms of which retailers are offering the best value for money on the items you know you need, then potentially place an order on click-and-collect, and go into the centre to buy," she said.

Melbourne mum of two Penina Peterson, Amazon Australia's shopping and deals expert, had her own suggestions.

"Going all the way with my nine-year-old daughter with the Barbie and Lego," she said.

"35 per cent off toys, which is fantastic."
