The Burwood Birdman is infamous in his neighbourhood for appearing before dawn, armed with buckets of birdseed and transforming quiet suburban streets into a screeching sea of feathers.

By day, he manages money, working remotely as a financial services consultant with Lismore City Council on the NSW North Coast.
But for his bizarre behaviour, there was still no apology.
Under the cover of darkness, the Birdman’s covert operation unfolds in the Sydney Inner West suburb.
Always masked, he dumps kilos of bird feed, before vanishing into the night.
His daily practice unleashes hundreds of screeching corellas, and the ear-splitting sounds echo through the neighbourhood and leave streets blanketed in droppings.
Residents are at breaking point.
We caught Vikram after his daily, or should we say nightly, raid, clutching empty cat food cans.
For a man responsible for so much noise, it was crickets from Vikram.

We later spoke to Vikram at his home, where hundreds of birds freely fly inside and circle the house.
Bird droppings mark the walls, and feathers blanket the ground.
Squawking fills the air and so does the smell.
Vikram told us he just simply loves birds.

“I did confront the gentleman when I saw him doing it and I’m like, ‘what are you doing?’,” she said.
“He said ‘no, I don’t live here’.
“I [told him to] go feed them where you live. We can’t sleep at night. There is bird poo literally everywhere.
“It’s just got to stop.”
