Australian dads have shared their inspiring stories of weight-loss success with A Current Affair.

Paul Averte lost an incredible 75.2 kilograms by following the Cambridge Weight Plan.

"I feel amazing. Activities with the kids and the family are fantastic," he said, showing ACA his 7 XL work pants he used to wear just a year ago.

"I could fit both legs in one of the pants' legs now," he said.

Food and diet was the focus of the program at the start but Paul gradually started introducing exercise.

Depending on the plan, the cost for Cambridge can vary between $35 to $100 a week.

"My kids have got their dad back," Paul told ACA.

Caroline Springs' dad Alberto Giaconelli has also seen great success with the Cambridge plan.

The father-of-two has dropped the 30 kilograms he put on following his wife's death.

"I thought I need to change otherwise I'm not going to see my kids grow up," he said.

"I'd been coming down the stairs at 1am, I'd go over to the sink, I'd butter a roll, I'd open up a packet of Twisties, put the twisties in there and eat it."

He says the Cambridge Diet Plan, which involves weekly consultations with an expert and a variety of shakes and bars, changed his life.

"I'm a new man, my daughter can now hug her father," he said.

F45's high-intensity circuit program helped Melbourne father-of-two Owen lose 20 kilograms.

"It helped having the F45 meals that you could buy in, that just helped keep on track with what I was eating daily," he told ACA.

You can expect to pay around $60 a week for unlimited F45 classes.

The Equalution program, which claims to be a science-based nutrition plan with a flexible dieting approach, helped Sydney father Sam drop 30 kilograms.
