Aussie child entrepreneurs turn ideas into money making business

Child entrepreneurs are turning their ideas into a money-making reality, becoming the business minds of the future.

From candles to candy, nothing is off limits and now there's a simple way for other kids to follow suit.

At just 12 years old Brisbane girl, Andrea Fysentzou, already owns and runs a successful business.

Andrea decided to start making and selling candles to save for a new computer and named her business Andy Candle Co.

So far, she's pocketed $20,000.

"I've learnt a lot from my business, and I think lots of other kids should learn that too," she said.

Angus Copelin-Walters started his company when he was just seven-years-old after wanting to donate money to those in need.

Four years later and he's now being dubbed Darwin's business wonder boy and his brand Croc Candy is inspired by what he calls local icons.

Angus has made $50,000 dollars so far, donating most of it to charity to support others like him with dyslexia.

"Being an entrepreneur at such a young age is really cool," he said.

Jim Schuman is the Co-Founder and CEO of First Pivot, a company designed to inspire and educate the next generation of entrepreneurs.​

Within the platform is Daintree Marketplace which is run by students.

The free ecommerce website gives kids a safe and secure place to sell their innovative ideas, products and services.

"There's no limit to how many different store fronts or shops they can open up," he said.
