Athletes using TikTok to give fans a behind the scenes look at the Olympic village

What happens at the Olympic Village, stays at the Olympic Village.

At least, that used to be the case, before social media came along.

Now athletes are giving fans a unique insight into their lives at the Games.

Posting on TikTok and Instagram from their rooms, athletes are dishing on everything from the freebies they've been gifted, to the quality of the catering.

And it's helping them gain new fans before the Games even begin.
