Airbnb disaster: Who's to blame?

Confusion over their Airbnb booking forced them to sleep in their car, then, in a retirement village.
They’re still trying to figure out who’s fault it is.

Our original handling of the case did not meet the high standards we hold ourselves and our Hosts to.
We have apologised to the guest and his family and tried to make things right, including fully refunding the stay and helping them find new accommodation that meets their particular needs.
There have been more than half a billion guest arrivals in Airbnb listings to date and negative incidents are extremely rare.
